{Dr. Carly LeBaron, LMFT}
Professional
I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's degree and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and I own my own group private practice in Utah. I specialize in women's issues including perfectionism and people-pleasing, body image, self-esteem, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and more. I also specialize in marriage counseling, faith crisis and faith transition, and healing the daughters of borderline and narcissistic parents.
In addition to my clinical work, I have taught graduate level MFT courses as an adjunct professor and provide supervision to students and new therapists in my field. I dedicate hundreds of hours a year reading, researching, and attending conferences about a wide variety of mental health, emotional health, and relationship topics. I have authored articles for professional journals, relationship apps, and blogs. I have also done interviews for podcasts and helped develop programs for body image improvement and violence prevention campaigns for college students. I published my first self-help book, "Shattering the Porcelain: Overcoming Perfectionism and People-Pleasing and Becoming the Real You" in 2017 and my second book, "Some Body to Love: 12 Weeks to a Better Body Image" in 2021. I love my work and I'm passionate about helping others live their best lives through Embracing Authenticity!

Personal
Cliche as it is, I am married to my best friend and have three incredible sons, and my furry companion, a Shih Tzu named Bandit. I love being outdoors, cooking and baking, reading, writing, doing yoga, eating delicious food, crafting and DIYing, and being in my garden. As an introverted extrovert, I love being with friends and family, going out to events, but also hanging out at home doing nothing.
I am a recovering perfectionist and people-pleaser, so I've spent the past several years discovering and embracing my real, authentic self and the journey has been amazing. Facing both sides of myself, both good and bad, has been a rough road, but I wouldn't change it for anything. I believe in thriving, not just surviving, and I love to make connections with other imperfect people I meet along the way. Come grow with me!
